GoalDog is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data within the application.

1. Data Storage and Security

GoalDog is designed as a local-first application:

  • Local Storage: All your financial data, goals, and records are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
  • iCloud Sync: If you enable iCloud, your data is synced across your own devices using your personal iCloud account. This data is encrypted and controlled by Apple; we do not have access to it.
  • No Server: We do not operate any backend servers that store your financial information.

2. Information We DO NOT Collect

We do not collect any personal information, including but not limited to:

  • Names, phone numbers, or email addresses.
  • Bank account numbers or transaction details.
  • Precise location data.
  • Device identifiers or tracking data for advertising.

3. Permissions

  • Notifications: Used solely to send reminders for asset updates.
  • FaceID/TouchID: Used locally if enabled to protect app access.

4. Data Shared with Third Parties

We do not share your data with any third parties. Your financial data never leaves your device sandbox or your private iCloud container.
